The sky was clear, for a night in the middle of Spring, letting the courtyard of the palace be bathed in moonlight, the trees sway in the wind, and lotus chirp peacefully. She had to get away from the crowd, talking to rich people, and dancing in the sweltering heat just weren’t her thing.
Her long black locks cascaded down her back in curls, a few hair jewels, she borrowed from a friend, braided into the curls, made the light shimmer off of them. She couldn’t believe she had allowed herself to be dressed like this, a pink gown with a pair of heels, which were in fact not her boots. “I look like a freakin princess.” She muttered under her breath as she fanned herself, even out here it was hot.
“Would you care for a nice cup of wine?”A voice behind her asks, turning on her heels, she comes face to face, more like face to chest, with a tall moon elf, his skin blue, and his eyes green, even behind his black mask, with long black hair pulled back into a
